I am trying to migrate my installation of web2project from one domain to another. I realize that if i did a clean install, created a new database on the new domain and then imported all the data from the old database to the new one, I would be up and running.\nUnfortunately, I have made many changes to the existing system and I do not feel like replicating/remembering what all they were in the new install. So I copied all the files from one domain, compressed them, installed in new domain, copied all the information out of the database and imported into the new database and everything appears to be intact.\nThe only problem is the name of the new database has a mandatory prefix and i need to change where web2project is looking for the DB to reflect the name of the new DB.\nExample:\nold DB name: olddomainname_web2project\nnew DB name: newdomainname_web2project\nI cannot change the prefix as it is assigned by the hosting company. Any suggestions?

Hi, edit \"includes\\config.php\" to reflect the new data: example: ----------\n$w2Pconfig['dbtype'] = 'mysqli'; // ONLY MySQL is supported at present $w2Pconfig['dbchar'] = 'utf8'; // The character set used in the database $w2Pconfig['dbhost'] = 'db17.host.gr'; $w2Pconfig['dbname'] = 'db_name'; // Your web2Project Database Name $w2Pconfig['dbuser'] = 'db_admin_name'; // Your MySQL Username $w2Pconfig['dbpass'] = 'db_admin_password'; // Your MySQL Password $w2Pconfig['dbprefix'] = ''; // The prefix used for db table names ---------- This is the only place you have to edit the name of the database and the credentials for accessing it. You imported the data into the new database, right? Just to be sure, you DID remove the \"CREATE DATABASE old_db_name in the beginning of the .sql file, right? Hope it helps, Themoulos
