add tasks - both in projets and projectdesigner - does not respect time zones. if system and user set to Eurpe/Amsterdam, save task from 8-9am, will be displayed in project list 6-7am. The difference is just European summer time minus UTC

Have a look at the raw task data stored in the database. If things are working correctly, a task should be stored with start/end date and time based on current UTC not on the user timezone. That way it can be viewed by any user in any timezone but relative to the user timezone.\nIf it is not, then the issue is storing the task. If it is correct then the issue is displaying the retrieved task.\nI'm just re-starting testing & seeing a few anomalies around the system but still digging into it. Cheers, Sasquatch

if you want to look at the code yourself: it seems retrieving tasks for Gannt is ok, for task view is not ok.#\n#So you can look at the Gantt code to see how the timezone is brought in, and add it to the code for task viewing. where is it done? If you have an IDE with debugger, put a breakpoint into index.php of projects. Go forward from there to either gannt or task view and you should hit what is done to task times after they are retrieved from database.\nThere is a CTaskTime (??) memberfunction for timehandling, seems it was forgotten to be used. I always start with the basics. Check that the server time and timezone is correctly set. Very easy to get this wrong with a vm install.\nThe database should always store start and end times as UTC, nothing else and definitely nothing that will give any timezone offsets and/or daylight saving. This allows any user from any timezone to see the time information as the task creator intended. What may be stored as 0700UTC on 2nd December 2014 displays as 0800 in Berlin, 1300 in Austin Texas and 2000 in New Zealand. If the server (inc web server/ php settings) are correct and w2p is storing times as an incorrect UTC value then the issue is in the code, similarly if the store time is correct and the display time is incorrect then the issue is in code.\nThere are known issues in display of gantt data wich are very evident with big TZ offsets (here in NZ).\nThere may be other issues in other code - find and document for correction.
