In order to be able to track software changes to a task/bug report, is there a way to have web2project generate a unique ID for each task? Or if it already does (I suspect it does), is there a way to access it? I'm new to web2project, so sorry for my ignorance -- I couldn't find any documentation for this.

each task has a unique id (for that mysql database, not UID-world wide). you see that in the browser address: for task view, that is someting lke index.php?m=tasks&a=view&task_id=nnn nnn is the unique task number in the database. There is also a helpdesk user module which partly works. maybe that helps, Klaus

Thanks for the reply. I also don't see how to query a task based on that ID -- a feature that would be useful in a future version.

What do you mean? Are you hoping to have a dump of the data for a task using that id?
